Matabele Rising.

THE NATIVES MASSING NEAR BULUWAYO. HELP ASKED FOR FROM TRANSVAAL. (Per Press Association.) Capetown, April 17. The Australian residents in the Rand have offered Earl Grey 1000 men for service in Matabeleland. The Boers prevented Fowler from commanding the relief expedition to Buluwayo, on the ground that hjs evidence was required at the trial of members of the Reform Party at Pretoria. Eighteen chiefs had asked for British protection in the present trouble. Fifteen thousand Matabele are massing near Buluwayo and help is asked from the Transvaal.
