(Per Press Association .1 Brunnkrton, This Day. Crushing operations <it the Victory mine, Paparoa, are being steadily pushed ahead. The stone still shows gold frpely, and the reef has been proved for a considerable distance. The quartz is yieiding 4oz to the ton, and the prospectors are satisfied as to the future of the mine. It is about 15 months since stone was discoveredMachinery and crushing operations are in full swing, and the owners are said to be reaping a well earned reward. Auckland, April 9. A cable has been received that the Hauraki South has been sold, the purchase to be completed by June 30th.
