The Matabele Rising.
(Per Press Association.) Capetown, April 8. Gifford has again inflicted a defeat on the Matabele with a loss of only two killed and three wo under.]. The natives swarmed all round and attempted to rush the laag'-r. Thej' lost at least least 100 meu. April 9. Mr Cecil Rhodes is suffering from fever at Foit Salisbury. Buluwayo is reported to be short of rifles. The rebels have captured 5000 head of cattle.
