The Soudan Campaign.
(Per Press Association). Ottawa, April S. The Canadian Government cabled to the Hon. Chamberlain offering to provide a regiment of militia for service in the Soudan. Cairo, April 8. Kbalofa has suspended the Mecca pilgrimage, and is levying a war tax. The Dervishes of Fashoda and Dasbfur have been recalled to Omdurman, and it is intended to assemble 50,000 men in September.
