If DrLeyds reports that Germany will not oppose the Imperial Government the difficulty will be amicably arranged. London. March 31. The attitude of the extreme Boer section iv the Transvaal has led Mr Chamberlain to warn President Kruger of his responsibility for the safety of the prisoners. Lord Gifford has received a telegram stating the position iv Bulawayo and the surrounding country is very serious, and all mining operations are suspended.
