(Per Press Association". New Plymouth, March 31. The body of a colored man was found at tho Sugar Loaves near the breakwater. The face is unrecognisable, being eaten by seagulls. No papers wore found giving any clue as to his indentity. The body was dressed in an evening suit, and in his pockets were a ladies' gold watch and a gentlemen's hunting watch, also £9 10s in gold. It is evidently a case of suicide as a revolver was found near the body. This Day. The body of the mau found on the beach near the Sugar Loaves on Tuesday has been identified as that of an Assyrian hawker, Better prospects were obtained to-day at the petroleum works at a depth of over 1300 feet, Wanganui, March 31. A severe thanderstorm was experienced throughout the district this morning. At Jepsons's farm on No. one line near Wanganui, two cows and a horbe were struck dead. Auckland, March 31.
