Political Addresses.
(Per Press Association) Auckland, March 29. Mr F. Lawry, M.H.R , addressed the electors of Paruell last night. SpeakiDg of the administration of the present Government, of which he was a supporter, ho acknowledged that they had made mistakes, but they had made fewer, than any previous Government. He tried to si tow that tho election of Mr Lewis for Clrtistchurch was in reality a victory for /the Government, as Mr Lewis' view£ on the land policy were so Bntirely injaccordance with those of the Government that he could not consistently follow Captain Eussell. On the motion pi Mr Isaac Hall, a vote of thanks yfraa-'accorded to Mr Lawry for bis abl/L&ddress, and continued contiienca^frL him as their representative. jT Napier, March 30. v^The largest political meeting ever [jelil at Napier gave a most enthusiastic reception to Captain Russell, Dr Newman, and P. S. McLean, who explained kho objects of the National Association. The only motion passed was one of thanks to the speakers. Nelson, March 30. Mr Graham, M.H.R., addressed a jrowded meeting to-night and received % vote of thanks and confidence.
