Drowning Fatality.

TWO BOYS DROWNED. At 5 o'clock last evening it was reported to the police at Palmerston that two boys, aged between 9 and 12 years, sons of Mr William Weekes, farmer, of Awapnni, had been drowned in a stream of the Manawatu river while bathing. Both bodies were recovered and conveyed to the residence of their parents. The sad accident was a terrible blow to the bereaved parents, and the deepest sympathy for their great misfortune will be felt all over the district. — Standard.
