♦■— The Manchester Rifles paraded last night. After the Corps had been exercised in company movements by Capt. Kirton and Lieut. Barltrop and by Color - Sergt. Milson, Sergts. Parker, Aitken, Coups. Humphrey and Evans in mannal and firing exercises, the annnal meeting was held. The report and balance-sheet, with statement of assets and liabilities, were read, adopted, and ordered to be posted in the Orderly Eoom for the information of members. Capt. Kirton paid«a high compliment to the auditors, Vols. Richards and Taylor, for the very efficient and conscientious manner in which they had performed their duties. They were unanimously re-elected to the position. Sergt. Parker was elected custodian, and Vol. Gosling as honorary secretary. The Finance and Management Committee was elected, and consists of the three commissioned officers, Color.-Sergt Milson, Sergt. Aitken, and Volunteers A. Wilson, T. Evans and Gosling. It was announced by Capt. Kirton that immediately the instructions came to band concerning the encampment at Woodville he would take means to let every member know what they were, and he would also, probably, call a meeting early next week to make final arrangements as to baggage, cooking, &c. Some interesting routine work was got through and the meeting terminated with the usual vote of thankg to the chairman.
