The last game in the third round for Mr Yates' trophy was played between McLaren (scratch) and Bailey (7), the latter winning by 21 to 22. The drawing for the fourth round for Mr Yates' trophy resulted as follows : — Saywell plays W. A. L. Bailey, Thomson plays Scott, and Carthew a bye. This round must be concluded by April Ist. Additional games have been played as follows for Mr Bencie's trophy :— Phelps beat Light by 21 to 11 ; McLaren forfeited to Stevens, and Jacob forfeited to Haybittle. A friendly match was played between the following yesterday afternoon, resulting in a close and interesting game : — Gosling, Bray (senr), Haybittle, and Sandilands (skip), and James, Johnston, and Sherwill (skip), the former wiuaing by 20 to 19.
