Johnsonville, February 26. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report: — Fat cattle, average numbers maintained last sales value for prime quality. Large coarse bullocks and those deficient in quality and condition relatively easier. Sheep in full supply were from second to inferior. Some of iij.a lambs bad the size but were wanting "Jh ' quality. A moderate entry of pigs, mostly stoire^, sold freely. Cattle — Prime bullocks, £7 5s to £8 ; larger bullocks (coarse quality) £7 2s 6d to ±7 15s 6d ; medium £5 15s to £6 10s ; lighter beef, £5 7s 6d to £5 12s 6d. Sheep — Fat ewes, 7s 6d ; others 6s 6d tq 7s Id ; lighter weights, 5s to 5s 6s ; culls, 2a to 3s ; wethers, 8s to 8s lid ; store wethers, 7s Id to 7s 3d ; shorn stock, lambs, 5s 7d to 5s 3d ; woolly lambs, 6s 4d to 7s. Pigs — Porkers, 15s to 18s ; stores, lls ,to £2s qd ; others, 9s 7d to 10s 9d.
Messrs W.opd and Judkjjns report a yery successful sale of ihe furniture and effects of the late Mr Munr'o, Awahuri Road yesterday. Excellent prices were obtained for the effects. Milch cows realised to £s', heifers to £$ 3s Qd. Horses were not in g re *t demand ; bat a medium draught WMQ realised £12 6s,
