A strong S.W. breeze prevented good play on the less sheltered Ponsonby green. At the Ponsonby green in the match, Auckland v. Palmerston North, Palmerston (Mowlem skip) 20 beat Auckland (Hooper) 15. No. 2 rink Auckland (Olipbant skip) 26 beat Palmerston (Drew) 13, Auckland winning the match by 8 points. At Grafton Green, Remuera v. Palmerston, Remnera No 5 rink (Stewart skip) 19 beat Palmerston (Mowleru) 17. No. 6 rink Remuera (Eagleton skip) 21 tied Palmerston (Drew) 21. Remuera won by 2 points. Palmerston v. Ponsonby No. 1 rink, Ponsonby (Coe skip) 27 beat Palmerston (Mowlem) 12. No. 2 rink Ponsonby (McDermott skip) 21 beat Palmerston (Drew) 13. Ponsonby won by 22 points. Later.

On tbe Auckland Green Wellington beat Napier, the scores being :—Wellington—Wbitehouse, Grady, Muir, Ballinger (skip), 23 ; Napier— Smith, Morrison, Shirley, Evans (skip), 24. Wellington— Geddis, Telford, Churchward, T. Scoullar (skip), 19; Napier— Knapp, Windrum, Beatson, Yates (skip), 12. Wellington— Macdougall, Finlay, McLean, A. Campbell (skip), 21 ; Napier— Dean, Sweetappler Feilder, South (skip), 19. The totals were— Wellington 63, Napier 55. Wellington played three matches, all the Auckland green, and defeated in ~ succession Devonport, Napier and New Plymouth. Inter- club matches— Wellington— Muir, Whitehouse, Grady, Balhnger (skip), 25. Devonport — Harrison, Swart, Logan, Craigmill (skip), 21. Wellington—Geddis, Telford, Churchward, T. Scoullar (skip), 18. Devonport— Trayes, NicoW, Cameron, Harvey (skipi, 18. The totals were : Wellington 43, Devonport 39. This is the first time New Plymouth has been vanquished by Wellington, and for the first time also New Plymouth has been defeated by Auckland and Ponsonby. Palmerston too lost all its. matches to-day.
