At the Presbyterian Assembly this morning, deputations were received from the Wellington Ministers' Association, Christian Endeavour Union, and New Zealand Temperance Alliance. The report of the Temperance Committee was submitted and the Alliance affirmed the desirability of further legislation in connection with the regulation on the drink traffic. The following were admitted to the Ministry : — Church : Revs Walls, McDougalf, Lewis, and McLean ; also, Rev Griffiths on certain conditions. " The question of the admission of the Rev Miller Smith was deferred to 'next Assembly.
