PORTUGAL AND THE ANARCHISTS. THE EXTRADITION OF ARTON. (Per Press Association.) London, Feb. 10. Mr Astor alleges the dismissal of Cust and others was in consequence of their sneers at America, and disregard of his wishes. Mr Cust will be succeeded as Editor by an American. It is reported that Lord Dunravsn has apologised to the New York Yacht Club in connection with bis accusations regarding the America Cup. Lisbon, Feb. 10. The Portuguese Government will adopt the French laws respecting Anarchists. For some time past it has been considered in European countries that the leniency of the Portuguese laws respecting Anarchists led to the offenders fleeing to that country. Paris, Feb. 10. Lg Temps counsels the acceptance of Mr Chamberlain's proposals respecting the extradition of M. Arton, charged with being concerned in the Panama Canal frauds.
