The Butter Market.
The following is a copy of report from Messrs Joseph Nathan and Co's London house on the New Zealand Farmers Dairy Union butter shipments, dated London, December 27th :— Our report to-day although terse embraces the true position of matters, but we wish to call your attention to the following. of the " Rimitaka" ship"^inent stood favourably side by side with the larger percentage of Australian, .and in many instances to the front, Traving realised quite 2s to 4s cwt more than certain brands of Australian which last season realised similar figures over and above our New Nealand. This so far shows an improvement in the latter and a somewhat falling off in the former. We must express our opinion on a .marked improvement in the general evenness of the butter, as well as the more evenness of the weights, and trust * the coming parcels may prove equally satisfactory. Not alone does such secure highest prices, but tends materially to influence sales, particularly ■when the market is fully or over supplied. i
