A KNOCK AT SWEEP PROMOTERS CHARGES OF CORRUPTION. (Per Press Association.) Melbourne, This Day. See gave bim nothing, but gave Mrs Rippiport two sovereigns. Sydney, February 7. The timber export trade is advancing apace. The .hip Canada haa commenced loading 700,000 ft of local hard woods for London, chiefly wood blocking, but also including a thousand sleepers for a leading English company. This is the third large shipment Scott and Co. have recently sent to Europe.
