o [ NEW SOUTH WALES v. VICTORIA. (Per Press Association). Sydney, January 29. In their second innings New South Wales have lost 9 wickets for 307 runs. Donnan 26, Iredale 43, Mackenzie 97W Gregory 26, Walters (not out) 45, Kelly 0, Garrett 0, Richardson 0, Turner 30, Howell 7, KcKibbin (not out) 5. Extras 8. Mackenzie gave an excellent display , of cricket. Gregory played a merry innings, and , made his runs in half an hour. Walters is playing splendidly. Iredale showed brilliant play. Three wickets had fallen for 214, when the procession set in, three wickets falling one after the other without score. IjOndon, January 29. The Daily News commenting on the selection of the Australian team, says that some of the names are strangely unfamiliar. The batting of the team, it thinks, will prove far stronger than the bowling. Tbe performances of Iredale, Darling, and McKibbin will be keenly watched in England.
