A Man Drowned.
(Per Press Association) Wellington, Jan. 29 Three labouring men named William Mander, Alex. Mein and "William Hooke, who had been fishing to day in an open boat off Kaiwarra, were returning early this evening when a squall caught the boat between Kaiwarra and Thorndon esplanade and capsized her A!l the men hung onto the bout until she righted herself, when Mein lost his hold and was drowned. The others were picked up.
