Feilding Cycling Club.
i 0--r The committee of the Feilding Cyc- | ling Club met last evening when a' large amount of routine business in connection [ with the sports to be held on the Oval I on January 22nd was transacted. Mr ' S. Andrews presided. Tbe following were elected members of the Club,' via. i " —Messrs W. Valentine, F. B. Hartstone, I H. George, E. W. Barnett, F. Y. Leth- < bridge. Mr J. Smith's tender was accepted for the two booths and Mr J. L. Durling's for the fruit stall. A voteof . thanks was passed to tiie Palmerston [ Club for their kindness in inviting mem- . bers of this club to the farewell smoke concert to Mr R. P. Clarkson. It was ' decided that Mr G. W. Fowles be reques- ' ted to ask the Recreation Reserve Committee to pnt the fenoe at the back of , tbe lawn in repair before the race meeting. It was also decided that the guar- | antee of £9 be given to the railway authorities as required for a special train from Palmerston, to stop at intermedi- ' | ate stations, on the morning of the sports meeting. With reference to the trophies ror the Ladies' Bracelet event it was de- ' cided that they be purchased from Mr 1 G. W. Fowles. I — —— _— _— »^— "
