Cyclists are reminded that nominations , for the Feildiog Cycling Club's races to be held on January 22nd close on Tuesday next, at 9 p.m. The Manawatu Daily Times says:— There is no doubt that Hunt proved himself the best man who has ever ridden a bicycle race at Palmereton, and his win ; was well deserved. Parsons recently rode 5 miles on the Melbourne Exhibition traok in llniia 16ft ■ seconds. The Victorian League of Wheelmen is , contemplating holding a meeting in : February, at which the five and ten • mile Championships of Victoria will be : competed for. It is probable that Parsons will go to ( America and Europe with Zimmerman, On January 27th will see the biggest cash prizes yet offered in Australasian : Cycling. £250 first prize and .£4O second ] in the Australasian Native Association ' two mile wheelrace. :
