The Recent Mysterious Poisoning Case.
With reference to the rcceut mysterious poisoning case, by which Mr G H. Say well's family and several guests were poisoned, a portion of a bottle of raspberry syrup, purchased at the door previous to Chrismas Day, was analysed yesterday afternoon by Dr Sodey, upou whom our representative waited this morning to ascertain tho cause of tho poisoning. The Doctor said thero was not a shadow of doubt that all the chemical reactions poiutcd to arsenic, and he was strongly of opinion that it was arsenic in the essence of raspberry in the form of arseniate of rose-aniline, which must have been qsed for the purpose of giving coloring and flavour to the syrup. All the patients wore eonsidorably better this morning under the care of Drs Johnston aud Sorley, excepting Mr Guo. Saywell. but who is also uic>tiding, and, with Hiis i . -epfciou, we understand the sutler crs aiv: all out of danger.
