Boom in Bicycles.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, .December tIS. Another boom is in evidence here, not in land or shares, but in bicycles. Some interesting figures published show «he extent of the pastime has taken bold of the public In 18K7 the value of the machines imported was £13,000 ; iv 1894, £27,000 ; while for the ten months of the present year over L 29.000 worth was imported. These figures are importer's prices. Owing to machines eounnsj in parts it is hard to estimate the number of machines, but | 3000 per annum is probably the mark. One writer estimates the number ot cyclists at 10,000. j
