Competition throughout was very keen, and the upward movement was Well • maintained for the best descriptions, buyers conceding an extra |d tp £d. All good greasies were specially brisk. Scoured was also in strong request, though washed wools were slightly weaker. On the whole it was generally estimated that locally sold wool brought £d higher after allowing for freight and commission, than would hare open obtained in London. * ,< j i*. Melbourne, December 15.. At the wool sales daring the, week business was marked by extreme .animation. Competition was keen thrbugh* out and advances fully maintained, buyers showing a willingness to stretch a further point for better classes.
