Colyton School Funds.
"The Feilding Tuis," a recently formed minstrel combination of unusual excellence, will give a performance at Colyton in aid of the above worthy object on Friday next. The entertainment to be presented can confidently be recommended to our Colyton friends, and we trust to see a large attendance on this occasion. The performance will commence with a refined and original chair performance, introducing the latest sentimental and humorous songs, blended with laughable jokes not previously heard in Colyton. A mirth-provoking local military skit, entitled the " Colyton Wooden-Legged Brigade," will conclude the first portion of the entertainment. The vocal items of the minstrel circle will be rendered by Messrs Beechy, Dur ant, Howell, Collingwood, Worsfold, and Isaacs, all vocalists of recognised merit; while the humorous songs and jokes have been entrusted to Messrs Butler and Fiyger, both capable exponents of negro impersonation. The second part of tbe entertainment will consist of an attractive olio of songs, character impersonations, dramatic recitals, and sketches, the whole concluding with' a laughable farce entitled " Frangipani's Waxworks." Special care has been taken to present this laughable farce on a perfect scale, the varions characters being represented by Messrs R. F. Haybittle, A. Butler, H. Fiyger, T. Howell, G. Worsfold, and Miss Isaacs. The songs and choruses will be accompanied by an efficient orchestra under the direction of Mr R. F. Haybittle. Those who revel in the whirling pleasures of "the light fantastic" will have ample opportunity to do so, as a dance will take place after the conclusion of the entertainment. As the performance is to be given in aid of a really laudable object, we trust to see a very large attendance of parents and their friends on Friday evening.
