Advances to Settlers' Bill.
(Per Press Association.) Adelaide, This Day. The Labour Party in the Legislative Council persuaded the House to amend th« State Advance to Settlers Bill so that the proposed bank shall receive deposits for investments. This proposal was rejected in the Legislative Assembly in the first instance. A further amendment was also carried providing for advances in all industries instead of only rural.
