(Per Pbess association). Wellington, December 5. Several of the championship events of the local Amateur Athletic Association were got off this evening. A slight drizzling rain fell which rendered the track a bit heavy. In the 100 yards, young Patrick romped over his opponent in the excellent time considering the state of the ground of 10 2- sth sees. In the threo-mile flat, Hawthorne and Angel ran a great race, the latter winning comfortably in 15min 47secs. In the 250 yards, Patrick won easily in 28 seca. In the 440 yards hurdles, F. Pownall beat B. Barnett easily in 66 2 sth sees. There is little doabt that Patrick, Angel and Hawthorne will be three of the Wellington representatives at the Christchurch gathering, and with Bhodes in throwing the hammer and putting the shot Wellington will be fairly represent-
