« IMPORTANT PROPOSALS BY MR CHAMBERLAIN. (Per Press Association.) London, December 4. Mr Chamberlain is inviting a suggestion for a means of increasing the exports of colonial products marketable in England and elsewhere in tho Empire. He has consulted the Agents.General and the principal Chambers of Commerce upon the terms in which his circular should be issued, and the press approve of the idea. Tbe Standard considers that tbe data will be of the highest utility, and an important and practical step towards the attainment of a great Imperial idea.
