The Weekly Half-Holiday.
(Per Press Association I Wellington, Dee. 2. The licensee of the Western Hotel was fined 5s and costs 30s, for not allowing a barmaid a half-holiday. Defendant explained that he had given her a holiday in the morning instead of from 1 p.m. This is the first case under the new Sbop and Shop Assistants Act.
