Concert at Apiti.
A concert -was given in Mr Guy's Hall, Apiti, last evening in aid of the fund for painting the Church. Mr Vicary prosided, and made a few opening remarks. The following ladies and gentlemen assisted, and their efforts were well appreciated by a large audience : Songs, Messrs F. Miller, C. Goldring, W. Goldriug; Mesdames Starr. Buckman ; and Misses R. Buckman (2), E. Macmillan, Olive Buckman, and Carter ; recitations, Mr Gascoigne (senr.), Miss E. Rankin, Master A. Curteis, Mr Feild, Mr Gascoigne ; duet, Miss Carter and Mrs Starr ; speech, Mr Feild ; reading, Mr E. Miller ; Stump speech, " Doctor Quack ; " address, Mr Gay.
