(Per Press Association.) Melbourne, Nov. 28. The Full Court to-day dealt with the appeal from the decision of the Chief Justice, which directed the City of Melbourne Bank, now in liquidation, to refund certain moneys claimed by the ) Prahau City Council to have been re- j ceived by the Bank in its capacity as ] agent. The money was despatched by the Bank to the London branch, directing it to pay interest on the Council loan when it fell due. Before the interest was due the Bank closed its doors. The Court dismissed the appeal with costs. An appeal by the Metropolitan Board of Works, in a similar case, was also successful, an order being made for the payment of £7,640 to the Board out of the assets of the Bank.
