Meeting at Apiti.

Meetings were held in Apiti yesterday afternoon to consider loan proposals for work in the Mangapikopiko riding of the Pohangina County. On the motion of Mr H. Osborne it was decided that a poll be taken to raise a loan of £'120 for constructing and metalling twenty six chains of Main Cross road east, the poll to be taken on Monday, December 9th. Resolved, on the motion of Mr G. S. Mouat. and seconded by Mr H. Tolley, junr., that a poll be taken on December 17th on a proposal to raise a loan of .£929 for constructing and metalling two hundred and twenty chains of Upper Cross road. Resolved, on the motion of Mr J. Macmillan, seconded by Mr R. Withers, That a poll be taken on December 9th on the proposal to borrow £1200 for constructing and metalling two hundred and forty chains of Uppermost Cross road (Table flat road). Cr W.
