A two year old sou of John Somerville, farmer, Milton, was drowned in a creek close to the house. The body of William Fiddes, one of the victims of the late boating fatality, was discovered floating in the harbour this morning. Westport, This Day. Mr O'Regan addressed his constituents at Cape Fouhvind on Saturday, and received a vote of thanks and confidence. New Plymouth, Nov 23. A young man named Herbert Richards aged 23, was killed while bushfelling near Tikorangi on Friday. Palmerston N., Nov. 23. The Police seized a quantity of liquor at Mrs Jacobsen's yesterday. An information has been laid against her for sly grog selling and keeping a house of ill tame. W. Delahunty, charged with attempting suicide by cutting his throat was committed for trial at Wellington Supreme Court. Auckland, Nov. 23. Archbishop Redwood left for Waikato and Te Aroha this morning. His Grace will make his archipiscopal visitation in that part of his ecclesiastical part of New Zealand while there. An epidemic resembling typhoid has broken out amongst the Natives in the Whangamata district. The yacht Ngaire, which has been purchased by a Wellington gentleman, sails for Wellington to-morrow. During the four weeks ended Nov. 16 3060 tons of ore were treated from the Waibi mi»B, and yielded £110,119 worth of bullion. The total from the mine is £337,051. A representative of the Melbourne Railway Arcade Company, has purchase Coombe's Arcade for 4-8000. Melbourne capital is to be introduced to extend the Company's business each of the chief centres of the colonies. Wellington, This Day. The New Zealand Shipping Co.'s ship Turakina, Capt. Hannon, passed Farewell Spit on Saturday afternoon, 85 days out from London to Wellington. She reported all well.
