Messrs Abraham and Williams report : At Colyton on Tuesday sheep were below advertised numbers, the quality being second rate; the bulk, however, was cleared. Cattle were in short supply and were rather dull at auction, bat aU sold afterwards. Mixed 18-months made £2 10s ; mixed yearlings, 365 ; smaller, 30s ; springers, £3 10s to £4 7s 6d ; hoggets, 8s 6d to 8s 9d. The entry of stock at Palmerston yesterday was practically confined to cattle. Two pens of sheep only came forward. Shorn store ewes made 3s lOd ; ewes (in wool) and lambs, 10s 6d. Cattle were numerous, sold readily throughout and all cleared but a pen of beef. Heifers still remain at low values. Prime fat cows, £6 4s ; others, £4 5s ; fat heifers, light weights, ±3 19a 6d ; forward bullocks, £5 6s 6d \ stor^ bullocks, £4 17s 6d; 3-year steers, £4 0s Cd ; 2|-year steers, £3 8s ; 20-month steers, £3 ; 18-month steers, £2 4s 6d ; do mixed sexes, 35s 6d ; weaners, 25s 6d to 31s ; smaller, 20s 6d ; yearling Jersey heifers, £2 2s ; heifers, £2 13s to £3 3s. Pigs, large porkers, 21s; small, do, 13s.
