Wellington Drainage Works.
(I?er Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. The Gity Gbuncit adopted the Cpmpressed air system, in preference to hydraulic, for lifting sewage from the low levels. According to the estimate supplied through Johnston and Co., who are representatives of the Shone system, the necessary machiuery will cost £10,650, of which £1,155 worth of boilers can be made in the colony. The rest will be obtained from Hughes and Lancaster, who are the only makers.
