The Drought in Victoria.
■ ■ ■■■■ o ' (Per Press Association). Melbourne, November 20. In the Council the Hoa Me Melville referred to the drought and asked the Government to consider the expediency of of suspending the duties on imported cereals, with a view of mitigating the hardships of the people and of saving the herds from destruction during the winter. The Minister for Defence, in reply, Baid the Government did not consider the position so bad as to justify that course.
