Q THE EVENING POST APOLOGISES. [Per Press Association) Wellington, Nov. 18. The libel action begun by the Hon J. G. Ward against the Evening Post in respect of a paragraph published by the Post stating that Mr Ward's denial of Mr Duthie's statement that he (Mr Ward I had met Mr Murray either on board the Hauroto or on the wharf was untrue, has been settled. The Post proprietors published in to-night's issue an apology, stating that in publishing the paragraph they acted upon erroneous information and accordingly withdrew the statement contained in it and express their regret to Mr Ward for having published the same.
