Arrival of an Italian Warship.

o (Per Press Association.) Wellington, November 17. The Italian warship Christofero Columbo, Captain Bertolini, arrived from Sydney at eight o'clock this morning. At 10.30 Mr Fisher, Italian Consul, visited the vessel and welcomed those on board. At 11 o'clock the British ensign was hoisted and the Royal salute fired, the compliment being returned from the Pipitea point battery. The Italian residents have made preparations to entertain the visitors during their stay here. It is twenty years since an Italian warship visited these waters. — ~— ■ — — ■— — — —■
