The Colonial Bank.

o (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, November 14. The transfer of the business of the Colonial Bank to the Bank of New Zealand takes place on Monday (to-day) in terms of the contract, and consequently the doors of the Colonial Bank will not be opened on Tuesday. Customers of the selling Bank will not have to go through any formality, as the books will be transferred. Of the local employes about a dozen take service with the Bank of New Zealand, including Mr E. Ewing manager, who is to be assistant manager iv Otago. The majority of tbe officers will be absorbed, as the Colonial has branches in several places where the New Zealand is not represented. Correction— The Colonial Bank's business will be taken over on Monday night. The Bank will be open on Monday.
