A Wellington Sensation.
(Per Press Association.) Wkllikotoh, Nov. 13. During the hearing of the charge against the Browns to-day, a witness named Christina Cameron, swore that Mrs Brown had told her that a child was born by a young woman at her bonse and ehe (Mrs Brown) bad killed it with chloroform. Witness was cautioned as to the serious nature of tbe statement she was making, but persisted in it, and was sharply rebuked by counsel for smiling while she did so. Later on the mother of the alleged child was called, but it did not appear from her evidence that the child had been born at all, but that she had had a miaa-carriage. Mr Jelhcoe, who appeared for the defence, said that upon this evidence he proposed to lay an information. Another feature in the case was evidence given as to the use of the name " Dr Frikart" by Mrs Brown when claiming payment for services, and one witness also said Mrs Brown told her Brown was Dr Frikart's brother. The hearing was further adjourned till Friday. __ _
