Fatal Trap Accident at Blenheim
♦ (Pek Pkess Association.) Blenheim, This Day. By a trap accident on the Awatere road yesterday a man named Whitling, a well-known "local sport, was killed, and another named Sannders was badly injured. The party were on their way to a pigeon-shooting match. The horses bolted, and the trap was precipitated down a gully. Whitling was thrown out, and the box containing the pigeons fell on him, killing him almost instantly.
