«. (Per Press Association). Auckland, November 11. In the cricket match United v. Auckland, Wynyard made 164 (not out). The residence of Mathew Brennan, Onehunga, was burned down. The house was insured for £120 and the furniture for £90 in the Norwich Union. The publicans booth at Ellerslie raoeoourse was entered last night and a quantity of stock stolen. At the Rescue Society a resolution was passed suggesting to the Premier the appointment of a special constable to suppress the social evil.
