The Frozen Bleat Trade.

(Per Press Association.) Melbourne, November 8. The Newport Freezing Company received a London order to send 4000 carcases of sheep direct to Malta, which is the first direct order of the kind received in the colonies. London, Nov. 7. The Maori's shipment has been killed. They are a poor lot and some were much wasted. Some cows have been sold at 2s 2d per stone. The shipment will result in a heavy loss, and the market is very depressed. The Gothic's chilled beef is selling at about 2s 4d per stone. Some of it shows signs of mould.
