Feilding Lawn Tennis Club.
An extraordinary general meeting of the above club was held at the Bank of Anstralasia Building yesterday afternoon at 4 p.m. to consider the motion brought forward by Mr Matheson at the previous meeting with reference to altering rule 12 to read thai members may ask non -members to the courts on one day in each month. The motion after some discussion, was lost on the voices. It was suggested at the meeting that a member paying an entrance fee and leaving the district should not suffer the loss of the entrance fee. Mr Barton gave notice of motion to propose at the next meeting that the following clause be added to rule 4 (which refers to entrance fees and subscriptions), viz,, •• That the entrance fee be refunded in the event of members not residing in the district a whole season." A meeting will be held on the opening day, November 16th at 5.30 p.m., on the courts, to consider this alteration. A meeting of ladies was also held yesterday afternoon to arrange afternoon teas, when it was decided to call a meeting of ladies, on the Tennis Conrts, at 4 p-m. on the opening day.
