Melbourne, November 7. Glorious weather prevailed for the third day's racing. Results : — Oak Stakes, 1J miles — Auraria 1, Georgie 2, The Parisienne 3. Won easily by two and a half lengths. Time, 2min 46£ sec. j Flying Stakes, 7 furlongs — Hova 1, Wallace 2, Mostyn 3. Hova won by a length from Wallace, three lengths separating second and third. Time, 1 mm 27 £sec. Spring Handicap, 1J miles— Mischief 1, Toreador and Reconstruction dead heat. Won by a neck. Time, 2min 11£ sec. Second Nursery Handicap, 5 furlongs —Coil 1, Ariki 2, Skyla 3. Won by a length. Time, lmin 3£sec. Veteran Stakes, 1£ miles — Palo Alto 1, Quiver 2, Preston 3. Dawes, rider of Quiver, claims that tbe mare was knocked out of the race at a critical time when holding a good inside position.
