(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, Nov. 7. There was lovely weather for the second day of the C.J.C. Spring Meeting. Results: — Juvenile Plate, 5 furlongs—Bloodshot 1, Musketry 2, Gipsy Grand 3. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 3sec. Dividends, £5 7s and £1 0s 6d. Metropolitan Handicap, 1+ miles — The Artist 1, Skirmisher 2, Lady Zetland 3. Won by a length. Time, 2min 38sec. Dividends, £9 7s and £10 4s. A protest was lodged against The Artist on the ground that his owner was on the forfeit list at the time of the horse's entry. The totalisator paid out on The Artist. Selling Two-year-old Plate, 4 furlongs Bimetallist 1, Irish Girl 2, Decoration 3. Won by a length and a half. Time, 51£ sec. Dividends, £12 13s and £10 11s. Epsom High Weight Handicap, 1 mile —Loveshot 1, Artilleur 2, Maremma 3. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 44sec. Dividends, £15 6s 6d and £11 5s 6d. Auction Handicap, 5 furlongs—Moderation 1, Mona 2, Kaiser 3. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 51£ sec. Dividends, £8 3s and £10 4s.
