Sydney, Noyr. 3 #> Much-needed and steady soaking rain has fallen since yesterday afternoon extending to the western pastoral districts where tbe drought had again become very severe. Hundreds of sheep are perishing. A large squatter, writing to a city agent, says there will be no hoggett wool next season, as no lambs have been reared this year owing to the drought. "
