LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, October 29. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. It was decided to grant the House a second conference on the Shops and Shop Assistants Bill, and by 13 votes to 10 the managers were instructed not to give way on the question of exempting small shops.
