Christchurch, Oct. 19, Followiug acceptances have been received : — Stewards' Handicap, 6 furlongs — Saracen, Waiuku, Barmby, Vogengang, Outpost, Musketry, Gipsy Grand, Euroclydon, Silver Spec, Mauser, Solitaire, Banner, Maremrna, Safeguard, Orion, Ambush, Solano, Loveshot, Emmeline, Warrington, Ben Varrey, Vanilla, Rancor. Curragh Steeplechase, 3 miles — Mutiny, Clarence, Gilhe, Dromedary, Seddon, Rawai, Rainbow. " Sport," the sporting writer for the Feilding Star, was the only " tipster " in New Zealand papers, as far as we can ascertain, who mentioned Waterfall .as likely to win the Caulfield Cup. Even sporting writers in the Australian papers did not fancy him.
