Wrecked, and All Hands Lost.
_o ■ - BELIEVED TO BE THE STONELEIGH. (Per Press Association). WeMINGTOU, Oct. 19. Captain Fairchild wires from Lyttelton to 'the Marine Department tbat apparently a large vessel was wrecked in the vicinity of Auckland Islands within the last three months, as the. beach is strewn with wool, timber, "etc. 'He searched, but could not find anything to identify the vessel. No doubt the whole crew were lost. Lyttelton, October 20. All the cirenmstances connected with the wreckage found by the Hinemoa at Auckland Islands point to the Stoneleigh as the vessel which has been lost. This vessel left Melbourne on February 27th for London, and was spoken by Captain Waller, of the Rotomahaua, mid-way between Tasmania and New Zealand. The underwriters some time ago paid insurance on the vessel. The Hinemoa brought np a large quantity of wreckage, including a spare topsail yard 60 feet long. The yard is paintexl yellow on top and hematite underneath > and the paint is quite fresh.
