Springers, £3 to £4 18s : fat cows, £5 ss ; weaners, 24s ; 18 to 20-month steers £2 6s to £2 15s ; 3-year steers £4 ss. On Wednesday, at Awahuri, the supply of cattle was small. The beef entered sold in vendors' favor. A fair demand cleared out the remainder. A good muster of sheep met with a brisk sale throughout. Hoggets made 7s 3d to 10s : others, 5s Id to 5s 3d ; shorn fat ewes, 7s 9d ; sorward wethers. 11s 6d ; twotooth ewes, 8s 6d. Mixed yearlings, 80s ; 2-year steers £2 103 ; fat cows, £4 to £5 ss; fat bullocks, light weights, £6 58. Yesterday at Palmerston cattle largely exceeded advertised numbers. Prices for grown steers were barely sustained ; for youuger cattle lower piices ruled.' The bulk of the sheep were represented by a large line of wethers of doubtful quality, which sold freely up to 8s 7d. We have no change to report in other lines. Second rate hoggets made 5s 9d, medium 6s Bd, sound wethers, 10s 9d to 10s lid ; ewes with 100 per cent lambs, 10s lOd ; 4-tooth empty ewes, 10s 6d ; fat cows, M 11s 6d to £5 7s ; 2-year steers, L2ssto L 2 16s ; Syr do, L393t0 L 3 12s ; 3-yr do, L 4 12s 6d to L 4 16s 9d ; store cows and calves, Li 16s ; 3-yr heifers, L2ss ; breeding cows L 2 8s 6d ; mixed yearlings, 30s ; weaners, 20s to 255.
